The streets of Tokyo run red with gallons and gallons of stage blood! Hot girls fart shuriken at their enemies, wield arm-stump-mounted machine guns, and deal with psychological trauma by slicing themselves with razor blades! Engineers, robotic geishas, and disgusting alien parasites — not to mention ruthless yakuza lords — have taken over! If this sounds like something you can stomach, then come along with the Rag-NERD-rok crew as we delve into the gore-streaked depths of Japanese spatter films such as Machine Girl, Tokyo Gore Police, RoboGeisha and Meatball Machine. Afterwards, we’ll sit down with our friend Will for another hilarious interview, and find out exactly how much Alex will put up with when he presents a new RPG campaign to Meyer and Erik. This episode will be a real blast, so much so that someone is sure to lose a limb in a shower of pressurized blood.

This week’s episode covers the very best of the very worst, those films that are just so egregiously bad that they are somehow perverse achievements of genius. We talk about five of our favorite stinkers, the kind of movies that made the careers of Joel Hodsgon and Mike Nelson, and give you the rundown about what’s so awe-inspiringly awful about them. After the break, Meyer, Ryan and Erik put their hairy arms on the line in The Nerd Mom Adhesive Bandage Challenge, a contest to see whose mother knows more about nerdy trivia. Join The Rag-NERD-rok crew and their special guest, Will Wohlsen, as they plumb the depths of crap cinema for the most perfect fecal gems around, but be forewarned: these movies are not for the faint of heart.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it many times again: the Internet is full of people with way too much free time on their hands. As today’s piece of evidence, I submit the following video, irrefutable proof that at least one gentleman out there has leisure time to burn. Matt Mulholland, musical comedian and YouTube contributor, took it upon himself to record a one-man a capella soundtrack to one of the most iconic scenes in “Back to the Future,” a childhood favorite of mine, and my God, does he pull it off spectacularly! Alan Silvestri’s epic score is one of the more hummable cinematic accompaniments ever written, and Mr. Mulholland takes that childhood urge that makes us want to sing along and turns it up to 11. Check out the video after the break; I hope you enjoy it!

Hey folks. Here’s an article I found on Hollywoodreporter.com about the recently released photo of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. The photo has gotten mixed reviews from the nerd community.

Though it’s undeniable that Anne Hathaway in skintight leather is bound to be a glorious sight to behold, the question remains: is the costume as a whole appropriately Catwoman? And furthermore, is Hathaway even the right choice? Weigh in, nerds! Tell us your opinions on this issue.
