The VGAs (Video Game Awards) were this week. And to be honest, the winners and losers don’t really matter because the awards don’t really matter. The reason everybody watches the show is because it is basically a huge commercial/ advertisement for video games. So after the break let me show you a couple of video game trailers that caught my eye.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD This trailer is the best and greatest one. It got me excited because I simply loved this game when I was a kid. I’m not sure if I’ll get this game when it comes out, but I’m sure one of my friends will and that’s when I’ll play it.
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron There was no gameplay in this trailer so I don’t know if the game will be any good. But this is what the last two Transformer movies should have been like. This trailer is just bad ass.
Alan Wake’s American Nightmare I never played this game so I can’t say if I’m a fan or not. But I know Alex and Ed are fan’s of this game (which is the only reason I’m showing the trailer). I don’t really have much to say about it besides that it is going to be downloadable title on Xbox Live.
Fortnite The next two trailers I’m showing are new IPs. Which is something that we love and discussed a little while ago. The first is Epic Games’ new project which appears to be a tower defense type game. If you played Horde Mode in Gears of War, you would know that Epic makes a pretty awesome tower defense game. So I’m looking foward to this one.
The Last of Us This is the trailer that left the biggest impact on me. After seeing it I just wanted to know more about it. It looks really interesting. It looks really cool, plus I really want to keep that little girl safe from those mutant things.
BioShock Infinite Another game that compels me to want to keep the female companion safe. I loved the first BioShock and this game looks just as amazing as that. I just really want to get my hands on this game. One of my most anticipated games of next year.
Mass Effect 3 The last trailer I’ll show is from one of my favorite video game franchises of all time. This is all gameplay footage, but all Shepard does is run away and dodge shit. (why can’t he shoot at least one thing?) But the shit he runs away from and dodges are shit-your-pants insane. This game comes out in a couple of months and I am so looking forward to it.
