This week’s installment of The Dreadful Secrets of Candlewick Manor is full of untold peril and woe for our misbegotten orphans. Following the, uh, defacement of Barry Toink, Duncan Barrowart is appointed prefect of the South Wing. There, he’ll meet his new charges, the Manor’s most deplorable troublemakers. Three new orphans, the Delaney triplets, arrive at the house, and are assigned to Duncan’s wing. Then, Cecil finds himself under suspicion when one of the statues in front of the Candlewick Township Civic Building is defaced with a viscous green acid. With Sheriff Toulouse eager to pin the crime on Cecil, it’s up to the rest of the orphans to clear his name. But will they end up in over their heads before they can exonerate him? Listen to find out!

ouch that is 3 emotional scars to the guts on the sheriff that is going to need some hospital level care and even then that will not be easy

I haven’t been disappointed with the return of the unwanted and unloved orphans! In particular, I’m a big fan of the character concept of the Delaney triplets. So far, they seem remarkably mature and well-adjusted, but that actually kind of makes them more unnerving. One waits, with increasing discomfiture, for the other shoe to drop.
