Tired of being humiliated at the hands of the Fear Force Five, Apex City’s beleaguered mayor creates a new team of municipal superheroes to combat the threat of villainy plaguing his constituents. The members of the Triple-F are nothing if not crafty, however, and they soon devise a plan that will allow them to study their new enemies from a safe distance. Using their newest recruit Schadenfreude as bait, they stage a villainous interruption at a ceremony to commemorate the achievements of Apex City’s senior citizens. But when Schadenfreude makes a hash out of the operation, will the rest of the villains stand idly by as innocents suffer, or will they step in to keep the collateral damage low? Moreover, can they surreptitiously gather some dirt on their enemies without revealing themselves? Listen to find out.

In this episode, the children scramble to get back to Candlewick Manor before Dr. Davenfirth [sic] and the rest of the staff discover that they’re missing. Noch, Duncan, Jareth and Karl will have to deal with a danger junkie demon car, and Dotty will have to keep Cecil calm enough to cover for them while they’re away. Can they convince Poe to stop speeding and take them home? Will Dotty get in even more trouble just to prevent the others from getting caught? And finally, just what do these Capulets and “Mon-teg-ways” have against each other, anyway? Listen in to find out!

NOTE: The Dreadful Secrets of Candlewick Manor is now on hiatus until further notice. As some of you may already be aware, Chris has been absent from our gaming circle for quite some time due to a prolonged illness. A few weeks ago, he was diagnosed with cancer. Thankfully, the prognosis is good, and he is currently undergoing treatment. We’ve decided to place this campaign on hold until he is once again able to resume his role as Cecil, as the unique tragicomedy of The Candlewick Home for the Unwanted and Unloved would not be the same without his jovial presence at the table. In the meantime, all of us at Rag-NERD-rok wish him a speedy and painless recovery.

The forces of demonic supervillainy are stirring once again in the fictional metropolis of Apex City! Reveling in their newfound fame, the Fear Force Five recruits a new probationary member for a caper at the Apex City Museum. When an exhibit of ancient Egyptian artifacts comes to town, the Triple F decides to swoop in during the gala unveiling so that they can make off with the priceless treasures and wreak some havoc among the city’s rich and powerful. But when another self-styled villain comes up with the same idea, they’ll have to duke it out with the newcomer to get away clean. Can they defeat Tutan-coffin, avoid the police and abscond with the riches of the ages? And just who are the members of the Fear Force Five in civilian life?
