When a mysterious plague hits the Venusian aerostat Parvarti, an overzealous Planetary Consortium diplomat named Dwala Chatterjee sees her chance to incorporate the independent city into the polity she represents. Little does she know that a steady stream of clandestine income from Parvarti’s massive tourism industry–fueled by illicit sex, gambling and other, more exotic transhuman vices–already feeds into the PC’s coffers, and her efforts to bring the resort into the fold would expose this black revenue to public scrutiny. In order to prevent this, Oversight dispatches an auditor and his team of “independent consultants” to resolve the crisis discreetly. However, they arrive on Parvarti to find that Chatterjee has disappeared despite being under surveillance by security agents, but not before calling in a team of Consortium delegates to pursue the matter further. Now, they must race to discover the causes of the outbreak and the location of their contact before the group of investigators she summoned arrives on the aerostat. Can they pull it off in time? When we last left our “heroes,” they were fighting their way through a horde of parasite-infected biomorphs on a Fa Jing mining colony in the Main Belt. This week, they’ll make the dangerous trek to the colony’s personnel vaults, where former Firewall Sentinel Deborah Wells has secreted away the key to Proxy Steel’s mind. However, before they can call in the Erasure Squads, they’ll have to face off against the parasite queen, the progenitor of the alien infestation. Can they steal the key and escape with their lives? With Proxy Steel and his recovery ship in tow, the gang heads to a remote Fa Jing mining outpost in order to retrieve a passkey from a former Firewall operative stationed there. Masquerading as the entourage and security crew of an inner-system hyper-elite, they manage to infiltrate the colony without turning heads. However, what should be a simple mission turns into an all-out battle for survival when it becomes clear that everyone on the asteroid unlucky enough to be sleeved into a biomorph is infested with a deadly xeno-parasite. Fists, bullets, our characters and terrifying alien insects fly in an action-packed microgravity skirmish. Can our favorite Firewall Sentinels brave the bugs and make it out with the key? In the last episode, the team of Firewall Sentinels successfully recovered a fragment of Promethean AI Proxy Steel’s consciousness from his remote asteroid base in the Main Belt. This week, they must navigate a series of complex traps and puzzles set in place by Steel in order to help him regain his full functionality. Complications arise when two of the team’s members succumb to a TITAN brain hack aboard Steel’s recovery ship, touching off a conflict that could potentially tear them apart. Can Dalton, Elis and Amir stop Lucas and Doc Skeelaxx from killing each other over a worthless artifact, or will their inexplicable desire to possess it lead to a bloody Fury on Neo-Avian battle?
