In the cyberpunk future, when shady mega-corporations have the world in a chokehold, net-jackers and cyber-criminals make their living the only way they know how. Drex Hardline and his team of hackers, TekBunni and Terra-Flash, decide to break into the Cronos Biochem building intending to toss the company’s servers for corporate secrets that they can sell off for a quick payday. What they don’t know, however, is that Drex cut a deal with Mr. Q-Bit, President of Cronos’ Prisoner Rehabilitation program, selling out his two compatriots in exchange for a cushy job and a fresh start. Two years after their disastrous run, TekBunni has been uploaded to a time-dilated virtual prison where she’s serving three consecutive life sentences, and Terra-Flash, who was assumed dead after an explosion, has been replaced with a reprogrammed clone that is completely loyal to Cronos. When a scarred cyborg calling himself The Laughing Saint approaches Drex, now a VP working for Q-Bit, he’ll have to choose between his new life and the friends he betrayed to get it. Dangerous experiments aboard Star Station Sigma have created a deadly white hole that is slowly pulling the hab and its remaining crew closer and closer. What do the doomed inhabitants choose to do with their few precious remaining hours? Try to expand their territory to encompass every last cubic meter of pressure, of course! Don Tachyoni and his dim-witted mafiosi Fat Carlo and Donny are out to make their fellow crew members an offer they can’t refuse, but when the station’s only remaining doctor accidentally exposes Donny to a dangerous mutagen, all their takeover plans get complicated. Can The Tachyoni Mob tighten its grip on Star Station Sigma before it’s crushed into quantum foam? Remigius Alcott Bradshaw had a bright future ahead of him as an anthropologist, until he discovered the Arkham Carvings languishing in the museum at Miskatonic University. At first, they were a tantalizing mystery, a local curiosity with no known culture of origin, a puzzle waiting to be solved. Meet the lab rats of Project Wisteria, Dr. John Sutcliffe’s latest experiment: There’s Chopsticks, the hideously obese alpha male who has subjugated every cage in the laboratory to his vicious whims. Crimson, Chopsticks’ right-hand rat, runs errands and keeps the peasants in line for his rotund master. The two of them share a disturbing proclivity for eating babies from other rats’ litters. There’s also Patches, whose monstrous ability to set small fires with his mind has made him the (slightly singed) pariah of the entire lab. Finally, there’s Speedy, a dim-witted, accident-prone specimen who manages to keep Patches from burning down the building with his unquestioning friendship and slapstick antics. When a new phase of the experiment begins and a mysterious mutagen is introduced to the rat population’s water supply, it will be up to these four to figure out how to save the rest from becoming hideous abominations of science. Can Chopsticks, Crimson, Patches and Speedy set aside their differences long enough to rescue their fellow lab rats from certain doom, or will they get the entire group purged for meddling with the results? And what about that pesky lab technician who seems to have caught on to the rats’ abnormal behavior? Listen to find out!
