On the Jovian moon Europa, deep beneath its subsurface ocean, horror is stirring. A mysterious artifact of unknown origin has begun to emit a curious pattern of signals at regular intervals, and those who hear it are entranced by its song. When a pod of security specialists sleeved in aquatic morphs is sent to investigate, they’ll have to confront Jovian agents and brave the crushing depths in order to discover the signal’s source. For the Sentinels of The Invisible Word, an “informal” Firewall server dedicated to tracking and combating epistemological threats, nothing poses a greater danger to the continued existence of the species than the limits of transhuman knowledge. Without the approval of the rest of The Org, they have taken it upon themselves to untie the knotty philosophical questions puzzling transhumans. Is the post-Fall world nothing but an elaborate simulation under the TITANs’ control? In order to test the limits of reality itself, they’ll have to track down a rare petal called Delphinium One, a shared hallucinatory experience created by a rogue AGI hacker. Getting their hands on the petal may be easier said than done, however, as the only one on Mars has currently been promised to socialite and scion of Elysium Vincenza Oaxaca-Maartens. Can these philosophical agents of Firewall acquire the petal and prove once and for all whether or not the entirety of existence is an elaborate sham? Listen to find out!

We’re back with more Stray Thoughts! Before they transmit themselves to the terrifying alien vessel hurtling toward the solar system, the former Sentinels of the Stray Thoughts team decide to stop off at 3lizab3thtown, a purely virtual colony established as a safe haven by and for 3lizab3th’s forks. At first, all seems to be well; the other 3lizab3ths are eager to meet our instance’s friends and learn about her adventures. However, it soon becomes clear that years of persecution have made the AIs inhabiting 3lizab3thtown deeply mistrustful of organic transhuman life, and that one of their number has taken steps to eliminate the problem once and for all. With time running out, the team will have to escape from a partitioned hellscape where dissenting 3lizab3ths have been imprisoned and stop the colony’s new leader before she eradicates transhuman civilization at a stroke.
