Three adventurers, drawn to the edge of a blighted wasteland by visions of an ancient Demiurge city, find only a small company town in a fetid swamp. Ruby Gleam, half-snake, half-unicorn, is a flamboyant spellcaster who uses the magics of Umdaar to make herself the center of attention. Dourla, a cybernetic slug with a malfunctioning control helmet, uses her master spy skills to stay beneath The Masters’ radar. Ryder is the last of the frogmen, a long-forgotten warrior race, who has in his possession a dormant Artifact. They soon learn that other parties of Archaeonauts have passed through town, seeking the Staff of Shadow, and set out in search of the staff themselves. We’re back with more Stray Thoughts! Before they transmit themselves to the terrifying alien vessel hurtling toward the solar system, the former Sentinels of the Stray Thoughts team decide to stop off at 3lizab3thtown, a purely virtual colony established as a safe haven by and for 3lizab3th’s forks. At first, all seems to be well; the other 3lizab3ths are eager to meet our instance’s friends and learn about her adventures. However, it soon becomes clear that years of persecution have made the AIs inhabiting 3lizab3thtown deeply mistrustful of organic transhuman life, and that one of their number has taken steps to eliminate the problem once and for all. With time running out, the team will have to escape from a partitioned hellscape where dissenting 3lizab3ths have been imprisoned and stop the colony’s new leader before she eradicates transhuman civilization at a stroke. This week, we present the conclusion to Swords Against The Dead! As the characters continue to investigate the surge of undead swarming over the seaside village, they begin to piece together the story of the necromancer who summoned them. Pizzdipple questions the sorceress Xuthana, who he found stabbed and dying on her library floor, about the powerful tome of necromancy that the Archmage has placed under her watch. It seems her apprentice, a boy from the village whose parents both died in a tragic maritime accident, betrayed her trust, stabbing her and stealing the book. Meanwhile, the rest of the team meets a suspicious dwarf imprisoned in a crypt beneath the seaside cliff, a dwarf claiming that he is the sorceress’ apprentice. Can our ragtag band of heroes (and Pizzdipple) sort out the truth and defeat the necromancer, or will the terrible magic of the book continue to wreak havoc upon the land? Listen to find out!

The city of Arcadia is a refuge for mythical creatures from the mundane world. Here, elves rub elbows with revenants, lycanthropes strike power deals with gnomes, and no humans are allowed. When prominent werewolf Richard Moreland is murdered in the Fae downtown district, a trio of hard-boiled characters must come together to solve the crime. O’Brien, a down-and-out redcap who was dismissed from his job as a homicide detective after dipping his hat in one too many crime scenes, discovers the body and the only witness, a kobold named Kevin. Carl, a spirit bound to a decaying corpse by a nefarious necromancer, receives a mysterious package from Moreland’s secretary, and sets out to decipher its meaning. Finally, Zane is a street magician who sees Moreland as his shot at fame and fortune, sets out to discover who spoiled his big break. When the investigation leads them to Vinnie the Cat, a local crime lord and nightclub owner, they soon discover that the murder has far more angles than they previously thought, and that the way things shake out could shape the city’s political future. Can they find the culprit and see justice done, or will they instead find themselves buried in lonely graves by the roadside? Listen to find out!
